Electricity infrastructure is not yet complete, people are struggling to find electricity for daily life
On May 9, reflecting to Lao Dong newspaper, many households in Long Duc resettlement area, Long Thanh district said that although they have moved here before the Lunar New Year 2025, they still have to temporarily use other power sources to serve daily life and are under a power outage.

These are households that have given up land to construct the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project, the section passing through Long Thanh district. Up to now, these households have started building houses and living in the Long Duc resettlement area.
Currently, the power infrastructure in the Long Duc resettlement area has gone under the cable pipeline, and a connector has been installed, but it has not been completed, causing inconvenience to people's lives. In addition, to construct housing projects, people have to use generators to generate enough electricity for construction.
Mr. Le Van Nu (69 years old, living in Long Duc resettlement area) said that the construction of the power infrastructure is unfinished and has been stopped for many days.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Thien (74 years old, living in the Long Duc resettlement area) said that the couple was old and had difficulty traveling, so they had to install elevators in their house. However, there is not enough electricity to operate the elevator.
Early connection of electricity for resettled people
On February 19, 2025, people in this resettlement area submitted a petition to the People's Committee of Long Duc commune, the People's Committee of Long Thanh district, and the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to provide electricity to people to stabilize their lives.

Previously, in mid-March 2025, the power supply survey of the authorities recorded that in the resettlement area, there were about 60 households that had completed the construction of houses. Meanwhile, Long Duc 7 transformer station supplying electricity to households in the resettlement area has operated 85% of the standard load.
To ensure the safe supply of electricity, the Electricity sector has also requested the People's Committee of Long Thanh district to direct relevant units to quickly complete the construction and energize the operation of the electricity system in the Long Duc resettlement area, avoiding cases of unsafe hook hunting and not in accordance with regulations.
On the afternoon of May 9, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a leader of Long Thanh District People's Committee said that he is coordinating with Long Thanh District Electricity to soon connect and meet the electricity needs of people in the resettlement area.
The Long Duc resettlement area is the first resettlement area to be arranged for households in the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project to complete the construction and arrangement of about 843 resettlement lots.
