On August 22, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc and the working delegation conducted field inspections and surveys of a number of important locations and projects that have been, are being and are about to be implemented in the eastern area of the city.
In which, the delegation came to survey at the Long Son LNG Power Plant project (Long Son commune); planning of Go Gang new urban area (Long Son commune); Vung Tau international passenger port project; Thuy Van park and Tam Thang square (Vung Tau); Mui Nghinh Phong land area (Vung Tau) and coastal road project DT 994.
At the destinations, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc listened to relevant units report on the project implementation progress, finding out and comparing with the planning, and difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process.
Notably, specifically for the Mui Nghinh Phong land area, a business has proposed the orientation of investing in a commercial service complex of more than 300ha encroaching on the sea, towards forming a large-scale service, tourism, entertainment space. At the same time, it is proposed to move the international passenger port project to be implemented within the new project scope. Thereby contributing to embellishing the urban space, effectively exploiting the coastal landscape potential...

According to the diagram, this project starts from Bai Sau area, embracing the entire Hon Ba area, Nghinh Phong Cape, Bai Dua sea space, extending to the Cau Da port area. In which, a main water supply area is designed dividing the project into 2 main sub-zones; along with axes connecting with Bai Truoc, Vung Tau Lighthouse and Christ the King Statue.
According to Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc, Vung Tau area in general and Nghinh Phong Cape in particular are areas with special locations, beautiful landscapes, attracting many tourists. Therefore, with large-scale and attractive projects, it is necessary to calculate appropriate traffic infrastructure, smooth connection to avoid affecting operations as well as people's lives.
The research and investment of the project also needs to be comprehensively researched, harmonizing between the requirements of economic and tourism development and the preservation of landscapes, sea space and local characteristic values.
