On May 12, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province decided to lease an area of 208,619 m2 (nearly 21 hectares) of land to EVN to implement the Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion project in Tri An commune (old Hieu Liem commune), Vinh Cuu district.
Of which, the area of land used permanently is 154,838.9 m2 and the area of land used temporarily is 53,789.1 m2.
The Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in 2020 and adjusted for the second time in 2024.
The project is invested by EVN, a type of group A industrial project, with a total investment of more than VND 3,900 billion, including 2 200MW power plants.
The project is expected to increase the capacity to mobilize loads in the Southern region, contributing to improving the working regime of the power system, especially during peak hours, thereby contributing to reducing production costs of the national power system.
Previously, on December 29, 2024, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) held a ceremony to launch the construction of Hieu Liem bridge under the Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion project.
Hieu Liem Bridge is an important item of the project, approved as a level II project with a length of 249.5 m and a width of 9 m. The bridge was built to serve the transportation of materials and equipment during the project construction process.
After the project was completed, Hieu Liem Bridge was left to serve the travel needs of people in the area, helping to connect traffic, contributing to the socio-economic development of the area.
