On May 8, the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for Site Clearance (GPMB) of Xuan Mai commune organized a conference to review the progress of GPMB work for the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6 section passing through the commune.
According to Xuan Mai Commune People's Committee, so far the locality has completed measurement, survey, inventory and handed over the construction site with an area of 25.55 ha, reaching 66.2% of the volume.
The whole commune has had 918 approved plans, issued 854 land recovery decisions; confirmed the origin of land for 1,241 land plots; appraised and reviewed 424 plans, the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is continuing to complete dossiers and make them public according to regulations.
Notably, during the project implementation, propaganda and mobilization work have created high consensus among the people. To date, 135 households have voluntarily written applications to hand over the site early to the construction unit.
Besides the achieved results, the conference also frankly acknowledged the difficulties and obstacles that made the implementation progress slower than the initial plan.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc - Chairman of Xuan Mai Commune People's Committee said that one of the key tasks to pay special attention to is determining the origin of land for the remaining plots.
Mr. Duc requested to complete this task before May 15, and emphasized that the Economic Department must focus all its efforts, identifying this as a top priority task to ensure overall progress.
In parallel with site clearance work, Xuan Mai commune will also coordinate with the construction unit to resolutely deploy some sections of the route that are eligible for construction immediately.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Hoang Minh Hien - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Xuan Mai commune said that the current progress has not met the set requirements, so the entire political system must get involved more drastically.
Mr. Hien requested to fully and accurately unify the data to build a detailed progress schedule, which clearly assigns people, work, time and responsibilities. At the latest on May 12, the new progress schedule must be completed, with the ultimate goal of completing all site clearance work before June 30.
Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Mai commune also requested the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to clarify the responsibilities of the demolition teams, improve the spirit of responsibility and must "hold promises to the people" in supporting the demolition of the project.
Sections that have been handed over land must be deployed immediately, not to be prolonged, affecting people's lives and people's trust in the project.
In addition, propaganda work continues to be identified as a key task. Xuan Mai commune will diversify propaganda forms so that people understand the meaning and importance of the project, creating consensus among the people.
