On May 7, Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc, Chairman of Xuan Mai Commune People's Committee (Hanoi) directly inspected the synchronous construction coordination of package No. 05/QL6-XL6 under the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section and the project to build a resettlement area in the Dong Cham - Dong Vai area to serve site clearance (GPMB) of National Highway 6.
Through actual inspection and listening to people's reflections, the working group found that in some locations there is still no clear consensus on landmarks and GPMB scope.
Many households in the area have proactively dismantled works and assets to hand over the site for construction, but in some places, support from the construction unit has not been timely, affecting the process of completion and stabilizing people's lives after dismantling.
In particular, in Xuan Mai village area, actual surveys show that construction according to the initial design risks affecting the domestic drainage system in some residential areas. Leaders of Xuan Mai commune and the village expressed concern about the risk of localized flooding when heavy rain occurs if there is no plan to adjust and supplement the appropriate drainage system.
In addition, the construction progress at some points is still slow compared to actual requirements and site clearance progress. Some construction sites still have dust and dirt, not ensuring traffic safety; the collection of waste and garbage is not in the right places, affecting the environment and people's lives.

Speaking to direct at the scene, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee Nguyen Anh Duc requested the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, design consulting unit and construction contractors to urgently review and clearly and accurately identify land clearance boundary markers to create favorable conditions for people to hand over land as well as repair and complete houses and works after dismantling.
For sections passing through residential areas, construction must be accelerated, and the ground must be restored as soon as possible to minimize the impact on people's lives.
In particular, the drainage system at Dong Cham - Dong Vai resettlement area and Xuan Mai village residential area needs to be researched and synchronously designed, ensuring drainage capacity, avoiding localized flooding in the rainy season.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc requested Xuan Mai village to summarize and report specifically on the flooding situation in the area in recent years so that the Economic Department can advise the People's Committee, propose to the Traffic Management Board and the design consulting unit to survey and develop a separate drainage plan suitable to the actual local conditions.
Regarding the Dong Cham - Dong Vai resettlement area, Mr. Duc requested construction units to urgently complete technical infrastructure, especially the connecting transportation system to ensure that by the end of May, the locality can organize a lottery to allocate resettlement land to households, creating conditions for people to soon stabilize their accommodation and deploy housing construction.
Chairman of Xuan Mai Commune People's Committee requested the Commune Police force to strengthen inspection and strictly handle cases of construction units causing environmental pollution, traffic unsafety, dumping waste and waste in violation of regulations.
At the same time, it is proposed that contractors focus manpower and vehicles to accelerate the construction progress; and at the same time affirm that the commune government and villages will continue to closely coordinate and create favorable conditions for handing over land for public land areas and locations that have received early consensus from the people.
