The Steering Committee for site clearance of Xuan Mai commune has just organized a dialogue conference with leaders of organizations, agencies, and units in the commune affected by the National Highway 6 renovation and upgrade project, mobilizing the dismantling and handover of construction site for the project.
Deputy Head of the Economic Department of the commune Nguyen Thanh Lai said: The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section passing through the commune has a total length of 6.53 km, a total recovered land area of 38.58 ha with 1,804 land plots. Including 917 plots used by households and individuals; 17 defense land plots; 29 land plots of headquarters of agencies, units, and organizations; 1 land plot of belief; 133 land plots managed by the Commune People's Committee and 705 agricultural land plots.
To date, the site has been handed over with an area of 24.04 ha, reaching 62.3%; 872 compensation plans have been approved; 795 land acquisition decisions have been issued; compensation, support, and relocation of 1 religious land project have been completed; compensation, support for site clearance and relocation for 6 graves.
At the same time, measurement, survey, and inventory work has been completed; the origin of land has been confirmed for 1,068 land plots; and for 452 land plots, the Economic Department is continuing to review and confirm the origin of land and assets attached to land. 232 plans have been appraised and reviewed; the City Traffic Board is completing and publicizing them according to regulations; and 970 land plots have not yet been prepared or appraised.
Within the project scope, there are 23 agencies, units, and organizations using land, with a recovered area of 3.78 ha. To date, the Department of Logistics - Technology, Special Forces Corps (warehouse T342) has completed site clearance and handed over the site to the investor with an area of 2.38 ha; Xuan Mai Commune People's Committee has handed over the site and is proceeding to dismantle the headquarters of Xuan Mai town People's Committee (old) with an area of 398.7 m2.
At the same time, the remaining 21 agencies and units have minutes of measurement, investigation, survey, and inventory; of which 2 agencies and units have publicly drafted compensation and support plans.
Xuan Mai commune strives to complete site clearance work in the second quarter of 2026.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Mai commune Hoang Minh Hien emphasized that in the current development context, transport infrastructure plays a leading role in planning and opening up new development space.
In particular, when the elevated railway project towards Xuan Mai began to be launched, the requirement for site clearance became even more urgent and needed to be implemented drastically, synchronously, and urgently.
Mr. Hien affirmed that the sooner the project is completed, the sooner Xuan Mai will have favorable conditions to attract investment, develop socio-economy, and improve people's lives.
In that spirit, Xuan Mai commune identifies site clearance as the top priority task at the present time and must be completed in June 2026 according to the plan.
Mr. Hien hopes to continue to receive the consensus and support of agencies, units, and organizations within the project scope; and at the same time requests units to proactively coordinate and implement dismantling and handover of land soon to ensure general progress.
With the spirit of setting an example, the comrade requested the commune's agencies, together with military and police units in the area, to complete the handover of land before April 18; the remaining units to complete before April 25.
Leaders of Xuan Mai Commune People's Committee will accompany, support, and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles; and at the same time be responsible for the progress and effectiveness of site clearance work.
For the Hanoi City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, it is necessary to direct contractors to focus manpower and vehicles, accelerate the construction progress for the allocated area; and at the same time complete compensation, support, and resettlement plans, ensuring the rights of relevant organizations and units.
