On June 16, Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of Task Force 1496 to review and comprehensively assess planning, land, and finance for redundant houses and land in the area.
According to statistics, the whole province currently has 1,228 redundant housing and land facilities that have been assigned to agencies and units for management, use and handling.

Of which, 1,077 facilities are under the management of the province and 51 facilities are received from central agencies transferred to localities.
To date, 775 facilities have completed handling, reaching nearly 68.7% of the total number of surplus houses and land facilities. In which, provincial-level agencies and units handled 18 facilities; People's Committees of communes and wards handled 757 facilities.
Facilities are mainly handled in the form of arranging, transferring as working headquarters, career facilities or converting functions to serve public, educational, medical, and cultural purposes.
Currently, 353 housing and land facilities are continuing to implement handling steps to put into use, exploit or thoroughly handle.
Agencies, units and local authorities have completed the review, statistics, and listing of houses and land facilities that no longer need to be used.
At the same time, assess the current situation, potential and advantages of each facility to propose appropriate handling plans to avoid waste.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Do Anh Tuan requested departments, branches, and localities to identify this as a key political task, focus on drastic implementation, and prevent the situation of surplus houses and land being left vacant, degraded, causing waste of resources.
Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee assigned the working group to urgently advise and promulgate a plan to implement tasks for the last 6 months of 2026 with a roadmap, time and specific responsibilities. Proactively propose plans for exploitation, use or handling according to regulations to promote the effectiveness of public assets.
