Binh Duong local government and investors are urgently completing procedures to build Bac Tan Uyen 1 industrial park (in Binh My commune, Tan Lap commune, Bac Tan Uyen district and Hoi Nghia ward, Tan Uyen city).
According to the Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal, the Provincial People's Committee has approved the general planning project for the construction of an industrial park (1/5,000 scale) for Bac Tan Uyen 1 industrial park.
According to the plan, the industrial park construction area is 785 hectares, expected to create jobs for 32,200 workers.
In addition to solutions for developing industrial park infrastructure, the project also sets out solutions and orientations for developing housing for workers in industrial parks.
According to calculations, there are about 3,220 local workers, the remaining 28,980 workers will be source of imported labor. Of which, there are about more than 23,100 workers in need of housing.
To meet the housing needs, the project has planned 3 orientation areas to develop social housing and workers' housing for workers in the west of the industrial park.
In which, area 1 will build a boarding area ( dormitory) for workers in the industrial park with an area of about 5 hectares. Phase one (from 2025-2026) will build 3 hectares and phase two (2026-2030) will build 2 hectares. Area 1 will create accommodation for about 1,785 people
Area 2 will build a housing area for workers with an area of 10.25 hectares outside the industrial park. Area 2 will create accommodation for about 3,660 people, expected to be implemented in the period of 2030 - 2035.
Area 3 will build social housing and workers' housing in Binh My commune, Bac Tan Uyen district with an area of 54.7 hectares. Area 3 will provide accommodation for about 19,553 people, expected to be built in the period of 2027 - 2030.
To implement industrial parks, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province assigned localities to coordinate with relevant agencies to organize the implementation of residential areas and housing areas for workers. Ensure the progress of housing construction for workers in sync with the investment and filling progress of the industrial park.
According to the Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal, the provincial leaders have worked with a domestic investor to speed up the project investment progress. The investor will build this mechanical industrial park to serve the automobile sector and many other sectors. The total investment capital for the project is expected to be about VND26,000 billion (equivalent to more than 1 billion USD).
