Hanoi City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant communes and wards to deploy the commencement of renovation and reconstruction of 8 old apartment projects in the area.
According to the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee, 8 projects to renovate and rebuild old apartment buildings include: Giang Vo Collective Housing Area, Ngoc Khanh Collective Housing Area and Thanh Cong Collective Housing Area (Giang Vo ward); 3-story Collective Housing Area (Ha Dong ward); Apartment Building 23 Hang Tre, 162 Tran Quang Khai (Hoan Kiem ward); Apartment Building 15C Tran Khanh Du (Cua Nam ward); Truong Dinh Collective Housing Area (including buildings A, B, C, D, E, H1, H2, H3, H4, H5) and neighboring residential areas (Tuong Mai ward); Thanh Xuan Bac Collective Housing Area (Thanh Xuan ward).
Along with that, the Hanoi People's Committee has approved the update of the list of housing and urban area construction investment projects (phase 1) in the Hanoi City Housing Development Plan for the period 2026 - 2030.
Notably, the list adds 3 rental housing projects in the city.
The first project is the Residential Area for Lease at a part of the land fund belonging to the Hanoi Old Quarter Resettlement Housing Area, located in Viet Hung New Urban Area (Viet Hung ward). The project is implemented on 7 land plots coded CT-04C, CT-04E, CT-05B, CT-05D, CT-06A, CT-07A1 and CT-07A2, expected to provide 1,166 apartments, completed in 2030.
The second project is the Leased Housing Area in Phap Van - Tu Hiep New Urban Area, expected to provide 1,176 apartments and be completed in 2027.
The third project is the Leased Housing Area at the land area implementing the Hanoi Information Technology Park Project (formerly), belonging to Long Bien ward. The project is expected to provide 2,025 apartments, completed in the third quarter of 2031.
In addition, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to shorten at least 30% of the time to resolve administrative procedures; monitor the progress of key projects weekly; ensure the supply of construction materials and control material prices in the area.
From now until the end of 2026, the city aims to start and implement the construction of 144 social housing projects, housing for the armed forces; 159 commercial housing projects, urban areas; 3 rental housing projects and 8 projects to renovate and rebuild old apartment buildings.
