According to the Department of Construction of Hai Duong province, in the period of 2024-2025, the demand for social housing in urban areas will be about 2,250 people.For workers' housing, the number of workers renting accommodation accounts for more than 18% of the total number of workers, equivalent to about 68,000 people in need of housing.The progress of social housing projects in the province is on average about 1.5 months behind the task assigned by the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee.
From 2021 to present, Hai Duong has only completed 1 social housing project in the residential area project in Nhi Chau ward, Hai Duong city, with a quantity of 619 units.The completion rate compared to the target by 2025 is 11%.To ensure the project's goals, the province must also complete more than 5,000 social housing apartments.
In the period of 2025 - 2030, the province is assigned the task of completing 15,281 social housing apartments, of which 536 apartments must be completed in 2025.Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, on March 28, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 1383/KH-UBND to implement social housing projects.
The social housing project in the expanded Tan Phu Hung residential area and urban area is one of the important projects that has been accelerated, contributing to the early completion of the target for social housing.
The project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 289/QD-UBND dated February 7, 2025 and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2027.The project started construction on March 29.
The project is built on a land area of over 31,828m2, including 5 15-storey buildings and 1 technical attic. The total investment is 1,362.9 billion VND, with 1,479 apartments, with an area of 43-74m2. The project is expected to serve about 2,953 residents when completed. Not only focusing on housing, the project is also invested synchronously in technical infrastructure.
The internal traffic system, surface drainage, wastewater drainage, household electricity, lighting, and domestic water supply are all systematically planned.In addition, the project also has a 2-storey parking lot (construction land area of 2,812.4m2, total construction floor area of over 5,888m2), trees and public premises.
When put into operation, the project will play an important role in solving the problem of social housing in Hai Duong province, especially the housing needs of workers in industrial parks, civil servants, public employees, and workers in enterprises.
