On August 17, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that it had just issued a Decision to announce information about the Phong Chau Social Housing Area Project in Nam Nha Trang ward, with a total estimated investment of about 1,280 billion VND.
According to the decision, the project is implemented at land plot HH-15 belonging to the Planning Adjustment Project of the Northern Residential Area of Provincial Road 3, Phuoc Dong - Vinh Thai commune, Nha Trang, now belonging to Nam Nha Trang ward.
The land area for the project is about 3.3ha. The goal is to concretize the Project "Investing in building at least 1 million social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period 2021 - 2030" approved by the Prime Minister.
According to published information, the area proposed for project implementation currently has about 100 households affected by land acquisition.
The current state of land use is mainly aquaculture land; the west of the land area is adjacent to the existing residential area.
The estimated compensation and site clearance cost is about 33 billion VND. The total estimated investment of the project is about 1,280 billion VND, including compensation and site clearance costs.
The project implementation progress is expected to be 2 years from the date of land allocation. No later than the end of 2030, the investor must complete the entire project and put it into use according to regulations.
Khanh Hoa province assigned the Office of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Construction to disclose project information for interested investors to submit dossiers.
The deadline for receiving dossiers is 30 days from the date of signing and issuing the decision, i.e. August 15. Dossiers are received at the headquarters of the Department of Construction, No. 4 Phan Chu Trinh, Nha Trang ward, in the form of direct submission or by post.
As of June 2026, there are 13 social housing projects in Khanh Hoa province with a total area of about 114 hectares, a scale of 20,008 social housing units and a total investment of about 30,342 billion VND.
According to the assigned target, by 2030, Khanh Hoa must complete 10,088 social housing units.
About 20% of the total number of units, equivalent to 2,100 units, will be arranged in the form of rental housing and worker accommodation, serving workers who do not have enough conditions to buy houses.
