On the afternoon of April 2, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for Doc Da Trang Industrial Park. The event was attended by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and local leaders.

The Doc Da Trang Industrial Park project is built in Van Phong Economic Zone, invested by Viglacera Yen My Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company, with a scale of nearly 288 hectares.
Of which, 204 hectares are industrial production land area, warehouses with a maximum construction density of 70%, and works with a maximum height of 5 floors. The remaining 4 hectares are for service areas including commercial, medical, sports facilities, workers' accommodation and product display areas.
Doc Da Trang Industrial Park is expected to operate for 50 years, attracting about 16,000 workers.
The industries oriented for development in the industrial park include: clean industry, manufacturing processing, high technology, precision mechanics, electronics, supporting industry, warehouses, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Chairman of Khanh Hoa province - assessed that Doc Da Trang Industrial Park is an important step in the industrialization and modernization process of Khanh Hoa.
The project broke ground today, demonstrating the strong determination of Khanh Hoa province, ministries, departments, branches and investors in implementing the industrial development strategy.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan suggested that investors focus resources and build the project on schedule.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh assessed that the establishment of the industrial park must be a smart, modern and sustainable industrial park, forming industrial - innovation - urban - service - high-tech ecosystems; ensuring harmonious development with the community, infrastructure and developing the knowledge economy for the locality.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh suggested that Khanh Hoa province as well as relevant ministries and branches must be responsible for supporting investors to complete the project; instruct investors to properly implement procedures on investment, construction, environment and proactively conduct inspection and supervision work, supporting investors to promptly resolve difficulties and problems in the process of project implementation.
In addition, Khanh Hoa needs to ensure resettlement for people affected by the project to have a new, better life; have plans to change occupations for affected households.
There should be policies on guiding local human resource training, prioritizing the settlement of local child employment when the project is implemented, as well as secondary projects later.
