Starting construction of VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park
On March 26, a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of VSIP Thai Binh took place in Thai Binh province.
The VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park (IP) project is being implemented in An Tan and Thuy Truong communes (Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province) with a scale of 333.4 hectares, invested by Vietnam - Singapore Urban and Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company (VSIP). The total investment capital for the project is more than VND 4,932 billion (equivalent to nearly 212 million USD).

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province - said: "The groundbreaking ceremony of the project today has profound economic and social significance, marking a development step in attracting investment in Thai Binh province in particular, and the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Singapore in general; creating a spillover in attracting investment, creating new momentum and new motivation, gradually elevating the position of the economy and investment, creating a premise for the strong development of Thai Binh province in the era of national growth".

The Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park project is located in the strategic center of the Red River Delta with outstanding connectivity advantages when adjacent to the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh economic triangle;
A representative of VSIP Group said that the VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park project will be developed according to the low-carbon industrial park model. VSIP will cooperate closely with secondary investors to integrate solutions to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and optimize energy efficiency.
VSIP's goal is to promote responsible industrial growth, meeting the increasingly high needs of the modern industry.
Within the framework of the groundbreaking ceremony, representatives of the VSIP Industrial Park project investor presented cooperation memorandums of understanding to many secondary investors; awarded 20 scholarships to students in An Tan and Thuy Truong communes, Thai Thuy district.

Sembcorp and Becamex study opening more VSIPs in 4 provinces
Also on March 26, Sembcorp Development Group, wholly owned by Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) and its joint venture partner Becamex IDC (Becamex), committed to researching and developing 4 more VSIP Industrial Park projects in Vietnam.
A memorandum of understanding has been signed with local authorities for research, cooperation and development of VSIP projects in the South in Binh Duong province as well as in the North in Hai Phong city, Hung Yen province and Hai Duong province.
The memorandums of understanding reaffirmed the common goal of creating an optimal environment in VSIP's industrial parks with the necessary infrastructure and resources to attract and support high-tech production activities.

In addition to the memorable minutes, there is a groundbreaking ceremony for VSIP Thai Binh's 333-hectare project. With a strategic position in the developing industrial ecosystem of Northern Vietnam, VSIP Thai Binh is positioned to become an important satellite industrial park. At the same time, support a network of major manufacturers and suppliers in high-value fields such as electronic components, precision engineering and renewable energy.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong have witnessed these important developments through the signing of a memorandum of understanding between businesses at the Government Office in Hanoi. The support of the two senior leaders emphasized VSIP's strategic role in bilateral and economic cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore.
It is known that Singapore is currently the second largest foreign investor in Vietnam with more than 4,000 projects, with a total capital of more than 80 billion USD. In particular, 20 VSIP zones are a symbol of effective, sustainable and long-term cooperation between the two governments and the business communities of the two countries.
VSIP develops 20 urban, industrial and service areas
VSIP was established in 1996, based on the foundation of joint economic cooperation between the governments of Vietnam and Singapore. VSIP industrial park projects are implemented through a joint venture between Becamex IDC of Vietnam and Sembcorp Development, owned by Sembcorp Industries.
VSIP Group is currently developing 20 urban, industrial and service areas across Vietnam with a total area of 12,000 hectares. VSIP supports more than 1,000 customers from 30 countries and territories with a total investment of 23.4 billion USD.
