Khanh Hoa has issued a document responding to voters' recommendations on the implementation of the Nuclear Power project.

On October 27, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province said that the unit had issued a document summarizing and responding to voters' opinions and recommendations related to the Ninh Thuan 2 Nuclear Power Plant project, before rearranging the provincial-level administrative unit.

Previously, many voters in Thai An village, Vinh Hai commune (project area) expressed their high consensus with the policy of building Ninh Thuan 2 Nuclear Power Plant.

However, people still have many concerns and concerns related to compensation, support, social security, career conversion and resettlement policies.

Voters hope to have a direct dialogue with the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to be listened to and thoroughly answered.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that it will soon organize a wide dialogue with people in the project area to record and resolve existing problems, creating social consensus during the implementation process.

The Ninh Thuan 2 Nuclear Power Plant Project is a particularly important national project, with an expected capacity of 4,000 - 6,400 MW, with an operation period from 2031 to 2035.

According to the direction of the Prime Minister, the goal is to complete the construction investment before December 31, 2030, no later than December 31, 2031, in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 85th anniversary of the founding of the country.

To achieve this goal, the Prime Minister requested the synchronous and drastic participation of the entire political system and the consensus and determination of the people, especially the people in the project area.

On February 19, 2025, the National Assembly passed Resolution No. 189/2025/QH15, stipulating a number of special mechanisms and policies for investment in the construction of nuclear power projects, including compensation, support and resettlement mechanisms at the highest level.

Then, on June 26, 2025, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council issued Resolution 13/2025/NQ-HDND stipulating specific policies on compensation, support and resettlement when the State reclaims land to implement the Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power project.

Based on the issued resolutions, Khanh Hoa province is directing departments and branches to focus on implementing the work of applying prices, compensation, support, and site clearance, ensuring stable lives for people in the project area.

The provincial authorities continue to research and propose mechanisms and solutions to speed up the progress of compensation and site clearance in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Public Investment.

Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned competent agencies to urgently synthesize the content and prepare necessary conditions to organize a dialogue with people in the project area in the coming time.
