On September 24, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang worked with the Standing Committee of Phuoc Dinh Commune Party Committee and related departments, branches and units to grasp the situation of compensation and site clearance for the project.
According to the report, the project needs to clear nearly 596 hectares, directly affecting 477 households with more than 2,000 people. By September 2025, the entire factory area (449.37ha) and resettlement area (65.62ha) had been inventoried.
For resettlement areas, compensation plans have been listed for 72/91 cases, expected to be 100% completed before December 31.
In the factory area alone, the province strives to compensate, support and resettle about 500 cases by the end of the year, equivalent to 200 hectares.
However, site clearance still faces many difficulties due to land fluctuations, lack of specialized human resources, and legal problems in land planning and use.
People also proposed to increase the support level to ensure fairness and closeness to reality.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that site clearance is a key step in determining the progress of the project.
He requested the People's Committee of Phuoc Dinh commune and related units to urgently complete the resettlement area planning, completely handle the existing problem in the 52ha area according to the inspection conclusion, and at the same time strengthen dialogue to create consensus among the people.
Khanh Hoa province will focus resources, coordinate with localities to agree on resettlement plans, publicize compensation policies, and promptly disburse allocated capital.
The goal is to complete site clearance in 2025 according to the direction of the Government.
