Located in the old forests of Tam Dao National Park, the resort stands out in a wild land. According to local people, this resort was just a large glue hill more than a year ago.After that, a person from Vinh Phuc bought land from local people and started construction.The entire hill has been scraped, and a solid structure is now growing in the middle of the hill.
Since the resort appeared, people in Thien Ke commune have not only worried about the impact on the ecosystem but also faced a shortage of domestic water.
The leveling of hilly land and changes in the status quo have encroached on the locality's only stream. In addition, water pipes from upstream to the resort have also caused many consequences.
Mr. Bang Van Hung (Thien Ke commune) said: "The resort has been under construction for nearly a year now. Initially, the land was widely leveled to clear the land, then construction began. Since its appearance, local people have often been without water. Life has therefore become more difficult. The cause of water shortage comes from the fact that the stream that carries water for people is buried by rocks and soil, changing the flow.
In the past, it was okay to grow eucalyptus hills. Since the construction of the resort has led to many consequences. While people do not have water, the resort pulls water to the pool and watered plants. Later, floods do not know what it will be like because the flow is changed. Local people are worried and want to have a definitive solution. "
Sharing the same frustration, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dat (Thien Ke commune) said that in the past few days, local people had to pull the tube to the forest to lead the water to use. The water pipes of the resort are large, pulling high to the upper, causing people to lower the area. The whole stream is exhausted in the bottom, not to mention the risk of pollution appears when the project is on the hilly land on the upstream.
