Kon Tum auctions 7 land lots with total starting value of 29 billion VND

Kon Tum – 7 land lots with a total value of more than 29 billion VND have had their starting prices approved for asset auction.

On January 12, information from the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee said that there was a document approving the starting price for the auction of the right to use 7 residential land plots in the urban area south of Dak Bla bridge, Kon Tum city.

The Southern urban area is newly planned, with complete, convenient, synchronous traffic and school infrastructure, close to the center of Kon Tum city.

Based on the proposal of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Provincial Land Valuation Council, the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee signed a decision approving the starting price.

The Provincial People's Committee requests relevant units to take full responsibility before the law for the completeness, accuracy and validity of the contents of the dossier and data on starting land prices.

The 7 plots of land are mainly located on Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Duong Quang Ham and Nguyen Thi Cuong streets. The plots have starting prices ranging from about 3.2 - 5.2 billion VND/plot, with areas ranging from about 320 - 450m2/plot, unit prices from 9.6 - 11.6 million VND/m2.

The reason is that in 2022, the Government Inspectorate concluded that in Kon Tum province, most of the planning projects for new residential areas and urban areas had violations related to land auctions, calculation of land use right transfer tax, and the situation of dividing and selling land plots.

In most land use rights auction projects in the area, there is a phenomenon of some people winning dozens to hundreds of land lots and waiting for the opportunity to sell for profit. The auctioned land is left fallow, unsightly, infrastructure is degraded, wasting land resources.
