At the end of June, many areas expected to develop industry in Lao Cai are being urgently completed by departments, branches and localities to complete planning, prepare infrastructure and land funds to attract investors.
From Cam Duong, Gia Phu to Ban Qua, the province's industrial picture is gradually taking shape with a scale of hundreds of hectares.
According to the newly approved plan, Cam Duong Industrial Park has an area of more than 196ha, located in Cam Duong ward, directly connected to the extended Tran Hung Dao Avenue.

The project is oriented to develop according to a green, modern industrial park model, prioritizing high-tech, mechanical engineering, electronics, agricultural and forestry product processing, logistics and warehouse services.
When put into operation, this industrial park is expected to have a scale of about 16,000 workers.
Technical infrastructure, transportation, electricity supply, water supply and drainage, and environmental treatment will be invested synchronously, while strictly controlling wastewater discharge sources to protect the Red River ecosystem and streams in the area.
Along with Cam Duong, Phu Xuan Industrial Park in Gia Phu commune is also planned with an area of about 300ha.
This is identified as a new industrial and logistics center of the province thanks to the advantage of connecting with expressways, national highways, provincial roads and the development orientation of the inter-regional electrified railway line.

Through calculations, Phu Xuan Industrial Park will have a scale of about 24,000 workers. Priority industries include deep processing of minerals using clean technology, manufacturing electronic components, mechanical engineering, processing of agricultural and forestry products and light industry, contributing to completing the supply chain along the Red River economic corridor.
Information from the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, industrial parks prioritize attracting industries with high technology content, clean industry, mechanical manufacturing, electronic component assembly, agricultural and forestry product processing. At the same time, develop logistics systems, warehouses and goods distribution centers, gradually forming inter-regional supply chains along the Red River economic corridor.
Recently, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Phan Trung Ba and a working delegation inspected the planning area of Phu Xuan Industrial Park, Phu Xuan 1 and the locations planned for resettlement to serve site clearance.
At the working session, the units focused on reviewing land use planning, resettlement plans, traffic connections and technical infrastructure.

Provincial leaders requested departments and branches to urgently complete planning, prepare resettlement land funds, and ensure living conditions for people after relocation equal to or better than their old residence.
In addition to the above two projects, Lao Cai has also approved the investment policy for Ban Qua Industrial Park in Bat Xat commune. The project has an area of more than 76ha, with a total investment of over 1,360 billion VND, built according to ecological industrial park standards.
According to the plan, the industrial park infrastructure will be completed in 2027 and start operating from the fourth quarter of the same year. It is expected that by 2029, the project will reach a 100% occupancy rate, creating more motivation to attract businesses, increase budget revenue and create jobs for local workers.
The simultaneous deployment of new industrial parks shows the direction of expanding Lao Cai's industrial development space in a green, modern and sustainable direction.
When projects are completed, localities will not only increase their investment attraction capacity but also gradually form new growth poles, promoting economic development in border areas.
