The first completed works
The North-South high-speed railway project section passing through Hue City is more than 95km long, passing through 12 communes and wards. The route is expected to build Phu My passenger station in Phu Thuong ward with an area of about 367ha and the potential Chan May station in Chan May - Lang Co commune.
To serve the site clearance for the national key project, Hue City must relocate 9,278 households, of which 1,368 households need to be resettled and more than 7,400 graves must be moved. The total cost for site clearance is about 6,302 billion VND.
Among the infrastructure projects serving resettlement, Phu Da resettlement area (Phu Vang commune) is one of the first projects to reach the finish line. The project has a scale of nearly 5ha, arranging 89 resettlement land plots with a total investment of about 44 billion VND.

After nearly a year of construction, infrastructure systems such as leveling, internal traffic, drainage, parking lots, water supply and green trees have been completed according to the approved design.
According to the leader of the Project Management Board for Construction Investment Area 3, the units have organized construction in accordance with the design documents, fully carried out acceptance work according to legal regulations and are completing procedures for specialized agencies to inspect and hand over the project for use.
Not only Phu Da resettlement area, Phu Vang cemetery and Phu Ho cemetery areas have also been completed. These are the first projects in the group of 8 technical infrastructure projects, resettlement area and cemetery in the southern area of Hue City invested by Area 3 Construction Investment Project Management Board, with a total cost of more than 362 billion VND.
Accelerate the progress of the remaining projects simultaneously
According to the Department of Construction of Hue City, the city is implementing 33 technical infrastructure projects including resettlement areas, schools, markets and cemeteries with a total cost of about 1,807 billion VND to meet the requirements of site clearance for the North-South high-speed railway project.
The first four projects started in August 2025 have been completed on schedule. For the remaining 29 projects started at the end of 2025, investors are accelerating construction to ensure progress.

In the northern area of Hue City, Area 2 Construction Investment Project Management Board is implementing 14 projects with a total capital of more than 466 billion VND, including 11 resettlement areas with an area of about 31.45ha and 3 cemeteries with an area of more than 10.7ha.
In which, Phong Hien People's Cemetery is one of the completed projects, which is completing dossiers for handover and put into use. The remaining projects currently reach about 30 - 80% of the construction volume, contractors are required to accelerate progress, striving to complete the landmark planting and subdivision by the end of July.

Another notable project is resettlement residential area No. 6 in Zone B - An Van Duong new urban area (Vi Da ward), with an area of 2.5ha with 74 land plots, total investment of nearly 39 billion VND. Up to now, the main items such as drainage system, asphalt concrete road surface, green trees and land subdivision have been basically completed, only some auxiliary items have been completed.
Accelerating the synchronous construction of resettlement areas is considered an important preparation step for Hue City to be ready to deploy the North-South high-speed railway project, ensuring that people subject to relocation have new accommodation with full infrastructure and stable lives.
