With a planned area of about 200 hectares located in Vo Lao commune, Van Ban district, Vo Lao Industrial Park is the industrial park with the largest investment capital in Lao Cai province approved this year.
This industrial park is built in a convenient traffic location, located near Provincial Roads 162 and 151, about 20km from Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway (at Pho Lu intersection).
In addition, the road connecting Provincial Road 151 with Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, ending at Cam Con commune (Bao Yen district), is also under construction.
Due to its geographical advantages and synchronously developed transport infrastructure system, Vo Lao commune (Van Ban district, Lao Cai province) has been developing rapidly in industry in recent years.
Arriving in Vo Lao commune in the middle of September, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the main artery of Provincial Road 151, which acts as the backbone running along the commune, is currently being renovated and upgraded. From there, the distance from the commune center to Lao Cai city is only about 40 km.
Not only that, the investment of 115 billion VND to build a connecting road between Provincial Road 151 and Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway also helps shorten the distance to only 12 km.
It is known that the Sa Pa Airport project is also being planned for construction in Cam Con commune, next to the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway. Therefore, when invested in and built, Vo Lao Industrial Park will have great potential for development thanks to convenient transportation.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Van (a resident of Vo Lao commune, Van Ban district) shared: "With the industrial park, people here will no longer have to leave their hometowns, and the economy of the commune and district will also be promoted to develop more.

According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper, currently, in Lao Cai province, 3 industrial parks have been established with a total area of 1,084 hectares. Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park is 100 hectares wide, Bac Duyen Hai is 66 hectares in Lao Cai city and Tang Loong Industrial Park is 914 hectares wide in Bao Thang district.
These industrial parks have created jobs for more than 6,500 workers with incomes ranging from 5-8 million VND/person/month.
On September 24, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Ms. Tran Anh Tan - Chairman of Vo Lao Commune People's Committee - said that currently, the industrial park is planned in Vo Lao commune, running along Provincial Road 162, bordering Phu Nhuan commune (Bao Thang district) according to the project until 2035.
“People in Vo Lao commune are currently mainly engaged in agriculture. We also hope to receive industrial investment for economic and social development.
The implementation of the industrial park is currently in the process of being listed to collect public opinions. However, through public opinion, people basically agree with the construction of the industrial park to soon create jobs for local workers," said the Chairman of the People's Committee of Vo Lao commune.
