On April 5, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee is implementing the Project "Investing in building at least 1 million social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period 2021-2030".
The goal is to strive to accelerate the progress of projects, ensure social security and meet the increasing housing needs.
According to the Office of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, developing social housing for low-income people and industrial park workers is identified as an important political task, associated with the goal of socio-economic development, ensuring stable people's lives.
The development of social housing must be integrated into construction, urban, rural, industrial and service planning, in accordance with the approved housing development programs and plans for each stage, while ensuring synchronous technical and social infrastructure.
According to the target assigned by the Government, in the period 2025 - 2030, Khanh Hoa needs to complete 10,088 social housing units. Of which, 3,200 units must be completed in 2026.
The Department of Construction is currently presiding over and coordinating with relevant units to regularly inspect and urge investors of social housing and commercial housing projects to complete procedures for commencement in 2026 and the following years when they meet the conditions.
This agency must directly work with the investor to promptly remove difficulties, request detailed progress and commitment to implementation.
In case the project is behind schedule, does not ensure the committed plan without a valid reason, it will be reviewed, proposed to be handled or recovered to select other capable investors.
When the project is eligible to sell apartments, investors must publicly announce information for people to access according to regulations.
According to the Department of Construction, by January 2026, the whole province has 12 social housing projects under implementation.
However, currently only the MK Central City social housing project in Phu Ha New Urban Area, in Phan Rang ward, is eligible to receive registration dossiers.
Subjects eligible to buy, rent, or rent-purchase social housing include cadres, civil servants, armed forces, low-income workers and households and individuals who meet the conditions according to regulations.
