On July 29, the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Binh Province announced that Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Thang had just issued an official document approving the proposal of the Department of Planning and Investment to terminate the operation of 13 projects that have not leased land, not deposited, and are behind schedule.
In this document, the Provincial People's Committee requested investors to carry out procedures to terminate the operation of the projects, fulfill all obligations to the state in accordance with the law, and send them to the Department of Planning and Investment as regulated.
Additionally, the province also assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to guide investors in carrying out procedures to terminate the operation of the projects in accordance with the law and other related regulations; to take the lead, coordinate with relevant departments, sectors, and localities to appraise the dossiers, and fully implement the procedures for terminating the projects for investors and other related issues in accordance with the law.
Moreover, the Department of Planning and Investment will coordinate with relevant departments, sectors, and localities to continue working with investors with delayed projects to advise the Provincial People's Committee to terminate the validity of the decision documents approving the investment policy in accordance with the law and other related regulations.
Among the 13 projects terminated, there are 5 projects in Dong Hoi City; in Bo Trach, Quang Trach, and Le Thuy districts, each locality has 2 projects; Minh Hoa and Quang Ninh districts each have 1 project.
The total investment capital of the 13 projects is over 260 billion VND, with approximately 39 hectares of land use area.
