On November 25, Mr. Ha Sy Dong - Acting Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee confirmed that Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee has a plan to handle houses and land that are not in use by selling assets on land and transferring land use rights.
There are 70 houses and land facilities that are offices, headquarters of state-owned public service agencies, educational and training facilities, cultural facilities, etc. of agencies and units at the district level in Quang Tri province that are handled in the above form.
In particular, the unit with the largest number of real estate establishments selling assets on land and transferring land use rights this time is Hai Lang district, with 17 real estate establishments. Cam Lo district has 13 real estate establishments, Trieu Phong district has 9 real estate establishments, Gio Linh district has 8 real estate establishments...
To handle the above-mentioned real estate facilities, localities will prepare documents according to the law on land, the law on public property and related regulations to submit to competent authorities. After that, competent authorities will issue decisions to sell assets on land and transfer land use rights for 70 real estate facilities.
According to Mr. Ha Sy Dong, there are immediate plans to handle real estate facilities under local management, but there are no plans to handle real estate facilities that are public headquarters under the management of central agencies that are not in use and are being abandoned.
“Recently, at the discussion session on the socio-economic situation of the 15th National Assembly, 8th Session, I gave my opinion and proposed that the Government urgently direct the Ministry of Finance to thoroughly handle the issue of public assets, which are public headquarters of central agencies located in localities that are currently not in need of use,” said Mr. Ha Sy Dong.
At the discussion session, Mr. Ha Sy Dong cited that the headquarters of the People's Court of Dong Ha City (Quang Tri Province) is a 3-storey building on a land area of over 2,000m2 located in a prime location but has been abandoned since 2016. Quang Tri Province and the Supreme People's Court have coordinated and requested the Ministry of Finance to submit to the Government permission to auction or transfer to local authorities for handling, but after 8 years, the only answer received was to wait for a general arrangement. Meanwhile, the building has increasingly degraded and become deserted, causing voters to be upset.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper had many articles and information about the fact that after the merger, many public offices in Quang Tri province under the management of local authorities and central agencies were not needed and were abandoned. These offices were all located at the frontage of prime land, not only causing waste, but also losing the urban beauty.
