The People's Committee of Kien Hung commune has just informed about the scale of the Tan Trao Industrial Park project (phase 1) implemented in the commune from 2025-2030.
The Tan Trao Industrial Park project (phase 1) has been approved by the Hai Phong City People's Committee under Decision No. 1538/QD‐UBND. Tan Trao Industrial Park is planned to have a total area of 500-550 hectares, including industrial park land in and outside the dike. Of which, the area for research on planning Tan Trao Industrial Park (phase 1) is 252.1 hectares; including nearly 227 hectares of industrial park area located in the Ta River Van Uc dike, the rest is outside the Ta River Van Uc dike.
The total investment capital of the project is more than 4,000 billion VND, implemented in Kien Hung and Nghi Duong communes and located in the Southern Coastal Economic Zone of Hai Phong. The project implementation progress is 5 years, from the second quarter of 2025 to the end of the second quarter of 2030. From the second quarter of 2025 to the first quarter of 2026 is the period of implementing legal procedures and investment preparation procedures. During this time, site clearance will be implemented from now until the end of 2025. From the first quarter of 2026 to the second quarter of 2030 is the construction phase of the industrial park infrastructure, gradually put into commercial operation.
Previously, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee agreed on the investment policy to implement the Tan Trao Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Investment Project (phase 1). Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau emphasized that the project is in accordance with the Planning of Hai Phong city, the Northern dynamic zone, the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh economic corridor; is part of the Southern Hai Phong Coastal Economic Zone approved by the Prime Minister. The project conveniently connects with key traffic routes, seaports, and airports, creating a premise for developing ancillary services, chains and easily attracting high-quality human resources. At the same time, prioritize attracting high-tech, clean technology, environmentally friendly, high added value industries, in line with the goal of developing green industry and green growth.
Recently, the People's Committee of Kien Hung commune held a conference to announce the implementation policy of the Tan Trao Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Investment Project (phase 1) in Da Ngu village, where 280 households were affected, and reclaim land for the project. At the conference, the People's Committee of the commune presented in detail the policy, scale, goals, and implementation stage, and accepted the opinions, concerns, and aspirations of affected households. The government is committed to implementing compensation, resettlement and project management in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring publicity, transparency and receiving consensus from the people.
