Ho Chi Minh City People's Court announces headquarters under new model from July 1

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Court will operate a new model from July 1, with the head office in Ben Thanh Ward and the remaining two headquarters located in Ba Ria Ward and Thu Dau Mot Ward.

On July 1, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court officially put into operation the two-level Court system in the area, according to Resolution 81/2025/UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee. This is a step to implement the policy of reorganizing the Provincial People's Court and the Regional People's Court, while re-establishing the authority to resolve by territory.

Accordingly, the new Ho Chi Minh City People's Court was established on the basis of merging the old Ho Chi Minh City People's Court with two provincial-level People's Courts, the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau and the old Binh Duong. The Chief Justice of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court is Mr. Le Thanh Phong.

The head office is located at 131 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, there are 2 headquarters located at 216 Truong Chinh, Ba Ria Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (headquarters of the old People's Court of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) and at 559 Dai Lo Binh Duong, Thu Dau Mot Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (headquarters of the old People's Court of Binh Duong Province).

According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court, from July 1, 2025, for lawsuits and requests that have been received but not yet processed, this agency will transfer them to the People's Courts of the corresponding areas according to its authority. At the same time, notification to relevant individuals and organizations is also carried out promptly so that people can grasp information and contact to work.

As for the cases that have been accepted by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court before that time, they will continue to be resolved until completion, without changing the handling unit.

During the transition period, the People's Courts at both levels of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to receive citizens, receive petitions and work at all old headquarters (including the previous District People's Courts) until new instructions are issued.
