According to the Binh Duong Province Electronic Information Portal, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway project through Binh Duong is nearly 46km long. Of which, the section through Tan Uyen city is 15.4km long, passing through the territory of 6 wards: Thai Hoa, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Tan Vinh Hiep, Tan Hiep, Phu Chanh, Vinh Tan.
Currently, Tan Uyen city is implementing component project 1 - site clearance for the project.
According to the report of Tan Uyen City Party Committee to the leaders of Binh Duong Province Party Committee, the section that coincides with DT 747B road will remain in its current state; only traffic organization solutions at intersection locations will be studied based on the principle of minimizing site clearance.
The total number of land plots affected by the project is about 2,082 plots with an area of 129 hectares of 1,023 households. The type of land recovered is mostly agricultural land for growing perennial crops, rice, annual crops... accounting for about 88.5%, non-agricultural land accounts for 11.5%.
According to Tan Uyen City Party Committee, units have organized meetings with people to deploy land acquisition, compensation, and project site clearance for 604/1,023 households.
The Tan Uyen City Land Fund Development Center has coordinated with the Land Registration Office Branch to measure and determine the area of land to be recovered in Vinh Tan Ward and Tan Phuoc Khanh Ward. Up to now, 365 households have been measured.
Currently, Tan Uyen City People's Committee has issued a land recovery plan and announced the first phase of land recovery in the section passing through Vinh Tan ward for 13 households and individuals.
Tan Uyen City People's Committee has also approved the plan to select a service contractor to hire a consultant to determine land prices for compensation and site clearance for the project.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment is carrying out procedures to select a contractor. It is expected that the approval of the land compensation unit price will be carried out in February 2025.
93 cases of resettlement arrangement
It is expected that in Tan Uyen city, there will be 93 cases that need to be resettled. Currently, Tan Uyen city has 2 resettlement areas with basic infrastructure investment, namely Tan Phuoc Khanh resettlement area and Tan Hiep resettlement area, to arrange for households that meet the resettlement conditions.
Tan Uyen City People's Committee is also implementing a plan to build 4 resettlement areas that can meet the resettlement requirements of households when implementing the project.
Project start soon
Most of this expressway passes through Binh Duong province, nearly 46km long. Binh Duong Provincial People's Council has approved a resolution to invest in the project with a total capital of about 17,400 billion VND under the PPP investment method of BOT contract.
Recently, during the inspection of the project implementation, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee requested the sectors and localities to focus on speeding up the progress, striving to start the construction of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway right after the Lunar New Year of At Ty to create new momentum and new motivation in the new year.
