According to Dong Hoa Ward People's Committee (HCMC), the locality is coordinating with the Di An Regional Land Fund Development Center Branch to implement a land recovery plan to serve the new East-West road opening project, the section from National Highway 1A to Tran Hung Dao street.
The project is implemented to complete and synchronize the technical infrastructure system according to the approved plan. Thereby, strengthening traffic connections in the area, creating favorable conditions for traffic between residential areas, Ho Chi Minh City National University area and neighboring functional areas.
In addition, the formed road also contributes to connecting with important traffic axes such as National Highway 1A, DT743A, My Phuoc - Tan Van road, and the new Mien Dong Bus Station.
It is expected to recover a land area of about 23,866 m2 to implement the project. Dong Hoa Ward People's Committee said that 122 households are affected by the project.

Currently, the ward is coordinating with units to receive people's petitions related to land acquisition and compensation, support, and resettlement policies.
According to the plan, in April 2026, Dong Hoa ward will issue a notice of land acquisition. After that, the Di An Regional Land Fund Development Center will carry out the steps of investigation, survey, measurement, inventory and construction of specific land prices. It is expected that in May and June 2026, the preparation, appraisal, approval and public disclosure of compensation, support, and resettlement plans for people will be completed.
