On July 29, units are accelerating the progress of the project to upgrade and expand DT 748 road section passing through Long Nguyen ward, Ho Chi Minh City. This is an important traffic infrastructure project connecting urban areas and industrial parks in Phu An, Tay Nam, Ben Cat, Thoi Hoa wards with Ring Road 4 of Ho Chi Minh City.
Regarding site clearance, the project must clear 1,571 dossiers with an area of 35 ha. The Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the compensation plan for 1,537 dossiers has been approved. Compensation is paid for 1,523 dossiers with the amount of 1,934 billion VND. Currently, 1,393 cases have handed over the site, and the land recovery area has reached 26.6 ha.
Regarding the relocation of medium and low voltage power poles, Ben Cat Power Company is currently completing procedures to deploy the relocation of the power system, expected to be completed in 2026.

Regarding construction, the project is divided into 2 phases. In which, phase 1 started in August 2025, currently building the section from the Ring Road 4 intersection in Ho Chi Minh City to the An Dien intersection. The construction unit is installing culverts, compacting the roadbed, and building bridges. Phase 2 of the project from Phu Thu intersection to the Ring Road 4 intersection in Ho Chi Minh City will start in mid-May 2026.
It is known that the above project has a length of about 10 km with a total investment of 3,143 billion VND. Of which, construction costs are about 463 billion VND, site clearance costs are about 2,284 billion VND. The project has a cross-section scale of 38m, building 6 lanes.
