Phu An Ward People's Committee (HCMC) is recovering land and handing it over to the investor to implement phase 2 of the project to upgrade and expand DT 748 road through the area.
According to Phu An Ward People's Committee, to date, the ward has basically completed measurement, inventory and land recovery notices. Functional agencies have issued decisions approving 345/346 dossiers. To date, compensation payments have reached nearly 100% of the approved amount.
Currently, there are still 1 dossier that has not received compensation money due to petitions and 2 cases that have not handed over the site. Phu An Ward People's Committee is continuing to coordinate to mobilize and strive to complete it in August 2026.
Regarding construction, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction said that phase 2 of the DT 748 road upgrade and expansion project is being built from Phu Thu intersection to Ring Road 4 intersection in Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, the project is starting to be implemented in the section passing through Phu An ward.

Recorded at the scene, on both sides of the road, households who have received compensation have proactively dismantled infrastructure and handed over land for the state to build the project.
The section passing through Phu An ward is being focused by the construction unit with manpower and machinery to level the ground on both sides of the road. In the sections that have sufficient ground, the installation of drainage culverts is being implemented.
It is known that the above project is about 10 km long with a total investment of 3,143 billion VND. Of which, construction and installation costs are about 463 billion VND, site clearance costs are about 2,284 billion VND. The project has a cross-section scale of 38m, building 6 lanes. The project has recovered about 35/36.6 hectares of land for construction. Phase 1 of the 5 km long project started in August 2025, and so far the construction progress has reached about 30% of the contract volume.
