The investment project to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line has a recovered land area in Kien Minh commune of 923,395.5 m2, including 805,373.1 m2 of agricultural land and 118,022.4 m2 of non-agricultural land. The whole commune has 1,179 households, individuals and organizations with land under project recovery in Phong Cau, Duc Phong, and Sam Linh villages.
At the working session, households were informed about the overall project, along with legal bases and legal regulations on compensation, support, and resettlement policies when the state recovers land.
Speaking at the working session, leaders of Kien Minh Commune People's Committee emphasized that the project is of great significance in socio-economic development in Kien Minh commune and localities where the project passes through.
The Commune People's Committee assigned the Commune Public Service Center, together with village facilities and related units, to conduct investigations, surveys, measurements, inventories, and determine the area of land and other assets attached to land to develop a plan for compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance for project implementation according to regulations.
The commune is committed to statistics and calculating maximum levels of support and compensation to ensure the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people.
Local authorities also hope that households will comply with state regulations on compensation, support, and resettlement policies so that the project can be implemented to ensure progress, go into operation and promote value.
The investment project to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line has its starting point at the railway connection point across the border (Lao Cai province), the ending point at Lach Huyen station (Hai Phong); the main line length is about 390.9 km; the length of branch lines is about 27.9 km.
The project aims to build a new modern, synchronous railway line to meet the needs of domestic and international intermodal transport between Vietnam and China; create an important driving force for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, promote advantages on the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong economic corridor, ensure effective connection of domestic and international railway networks, associated with ensuring national defense, security and international integration, environmental protection, response to climate change; promote the process of industrialization and modernization of the country; contribute to realizing goals and tasks according to the Documents of the 13th National Congress and Resolutions of the Party.
