In early July 2026, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters' records at social housing (NƠXH) construction sites in Lao Cai province showed that the construction atmosphere was urgent, with many machines and manpower mobilized to speed up progress.
At the Yen Ninh social housing project (Yen Bai ward), invested by Hacom Lao Cai Investment Joint Stock Company, items are being implemented simultaneously.


Up to now, the mass trial pile and drilled pile construction has been completed. The contractor is focusing on constructing the foundation of building blocks, while completing the operating area, gate system, and construction site fence.
The project is built on an area of over 22,000m2, with a total investment of over 910 billion VND.
According to the plan, the project includes 5 11-story apartment buildings and a synchronous technical infrastructure system, meeting accommodation for about 2,189 people.

The investor sets a goal to complete and hand over the first buildings in 2027.
In parallel with the construction, the investor has also opened the first sale of 341 apartments in two buildings A1 and B1.
The average temporary selling price is about 17.99 million VND/m2 (including 5% VAT), ranging from 15.7-19.9 million VND/m2 depending on location, floor and apartment area, excluding 2% maintenance costs.
As a worker working in Yen Bai ward, Mr. Ngo Van Thai said that his family is very hopeful of having the opportunity to own an apartment in the project.
My husband and I both work here, if we can buy social housing at a reasonable price, the pressure will be greatly reduced. The projects are located in the central area, so going to work and picking up and dropping off children from school is also more convenient," Mr. Thai shared.
Not far away, the social housing project in the right bank of the Red River is also being accelerated.


The project is invested by Binh Minh Tay Bac Investment Joint Stock Company, implemented on an area of over 24,000m2, including 6 7-story apartment buildings with a total floor area of nearly 68,800m2.
According to records on July 5, in the construction area of two buildings CT-01 and CT-02 (commercial name Happy Home Riverside), the foundation has been completed, and construction units are pouring concrete to build the body of the project.
Previously, the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Construction had received the dossier of publicizing the selling price of social housing from the investor.
According to the announcement, the average selling price is temporarily estimated at 16.8 million VND/m2 used, including value-added tax (VAT) but not including maintenance costs.


In addition to the two projects being implemented in the central area, in Lao Cai city (formerly), there are also many social housing projects that have been invested and put into use such as the left bank of the Red River area, the residential area adjacent to the extended B6 road and the Lam Vien area.
According to the plan, Lao Cai province aims to complete 8,000 social housing units.
Regarding the progress of project implementation, Mr. Duong Quoc Huy - Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee requested investors to focus manpower and equipment, take advantage of favorable weather conditions to accelerate construction progress, while ensuring project quality, labor safety and environmental sanitation.
Departments and sectors continue to coordinate to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles to ensure that projects are implemented on schedule, and soon meet the increasing housing needs of the people.
