Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a plan to auction land use rights in 2026.
Ho Chi Minh City Land Fund Development Center is assigned to organize auctions for 8 land plots belonging to Thu Thiem New Urban Area.
Lot 1. K1. 5. DV (formerly lots 1-12) has an area of 31,995 m2, planned as urban service land.
Plot 1. K3. 4. HH (formerly plot 3-5) is 6,446 m2 wide, belonging to the mixed residential and service land group.
Lot 1. K3. 1. OD (formerly Lot 3-8) is 8,568 m2 wide, is residential land according to the plan.
Plot 1. K3. 3. HH (formerly plot 3-9) has an area of 5,009 m2 and plot 1. K3. 5. HH (formerly plot 3-12) is 10,59 m2 wide, both are mixed residential and service land.
Lot 1. K4. 5. DV (formerly Lot 4-21) is 700 m2 wide, is commercial - service land.
Lot 1. K7. 2. DV (formerly lot 7-1) is 74. 393 m2 wide, is urban service land.
Lot 1. K7. 1. DV (formerly Lot 7-17) is 1,500 m2 wide, also belonging to the urban service land group.
Notably, 4 land plots with symbols 3-5, 3-8, 3-9 and 3-12 previously, were successfully auctioned by Ho Chi Minh City at the end of 2021 with a total winning price of more than 37,300 billion VND.
However, after winning the auction, the businesses did not fulfill their financial obligations on time and asked to withdraw their deposits.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigns the Department of Finance, the Department of Construction and related agencies, according to their functions and tasks, to advise and submit to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for approval of investment policies for land plots for housing projects (for sale, lease or lease-purchase).
The Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinates with departments and branches to determine the expected starting price and the starting price of auctions; advises the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to issue relevant decisions such as approving auction plans, starting prices, organizing auctions, recognizing auction results, allocating land or leasing land according to regulations. At the same time, this agency shall issue land use right certificates to winning auction organizations and take the lead in handing over land on the field.
The Ho Chi Minh City Land Fund Development Center coordinates with units to organize auctions of land plots, and at the same time report on progress, implementation results and difficulties and obstacles for competent People's Committees to consider and direct.
The Department of Justice is responsible for guiding asset auction activities and inspecting and handling violations according to its authority.
The tax authority notifies the auction winner to fulfill financial obligations; at the same time, informs the Agriculture and Environment agency about whether the obligation to pay the auction winnings has been completed or not.
