On July 14, Binh Khanh Commune People's Committee announced that it had issued a plan to recover land, compensate, support and resettle to implement the investment project for the traffic intersection connecting Rung Sac road with the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway.
The total recovered area is about 21.44 hectares of land of 240 households.

According to Mr. Pham Minh Chau - Vice Chairman of Binh Khanh Commune People's Committee, at the recent meeting with households, many people requested functional agencies to survey market prices to develop reasonable compensation plans, ensuring the rights of people whose land is recovered.
Many households reflect that the remaining land area after clearance is too small or there is no longer an access road for production and travel. People also proposed considering support for these cases, and at the same time wished the resettlement area to have an appropriate price to soon stabilize their lives.
Mr. Pham Minh Chau said that the Commune People's Committee will coordinate with relevant agencies to survey each case to have appropriate handling directions. Currently, the compensation unit price has not been determined because it is still waiting for the consulting unit to appraise the price to implement, and then submit it to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for approval before officially announcing it to the people.

The intersection project connecting Rung Sac road with Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway was started on July 1 with a total investment of nearly 2,970 billion VND from the state budget.
Regarding scale, the project is to build a branch connecting the Can Gio bridgehead road and Rung Sac road to Can Gio commune with a scale of 6 lanes, design speed of 80 km/h; and at the same time invest in the Rung Sac road branch to Binh Khanh ferry with a scale of 4 lanes, design speed of 60 km/h.
In addition, the project expands two existing elevated bridge sections to suit the scale of phase 2 of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, and at the same time builds 4 new elevated bridge access and exit branches, each branch with 1 lane.
The project also builds 2 tunnels about 470 m long, along with a roundabout and technical infrastructure including drainage, lighting, green trees, smart traffic (ITS), weight control station and traffic signal.
According to the plan, the project will be completed in 2028. When put into operation, the intersection will form a new radial traffic axis, strengthening the connection between the center of Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Khanh, Tam Thon Hiep, An Thoi Dong, Ly Nhon and Long Hoa communes.
The project is expected to contribute to reducing congestion, limiting traffic accidents, creating favorable conditions for goods transportation, promoting the development of industrial parks, new urban areas and ecotourism along the Rung Sac route.
In particular, after completion, people from the Mekong Delta provinces and the Southeast region can move to Can Gio along Ring Road 3 HCMC - Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway - Rung Sac road, significantly shortening travel time and increasing regional connectivity.
