The Quy Mong - Kien Thanh route is more than 13km long, with a total investment of 100 billion VND these days, always bustling with the sound of the engine.
When the site was handed over, the construction unit mobilized machinery to speed up the progress of each item.
It is known that as soon as the commune officials informed that the road would pass through the family's garden, Ms. Ha Thi Ly in Kien Lao village did not hesitate to agree to donate more than 500m2 of land, dismantle fences and trees to make the project go smoothly.
Ms. Ly's story is also the common sentiment of more than 300 households here, who have voluntarily donated more than 300,000m2 of land to the project.
"The state has built a road to the commune, we are very excited. The land is both convenient for construction and makes our hometown more beautiful, making travel easier," Ms. Ly happily said.

From those rustic thoughts, the land donation movement spread quickly, like a warm spark in the hearts of the people of Quy Mong.
Some contributed a few hundred meters, some demolished the gate, some cut down trees, some moved the barn. No one told anyone but everyone shared the same desire to make the road more straight, wider, cleaner and more beautiful.
Thanks to the support of the people, the site clearance of the traffic project worth more than 100 billion VND was completed quickly.
At the construction site, dozens of vehicles are working continuously. The soil is tightly rolled, the roadbed is flattened, and every corner is straightened.
Not only the sound of the machines, but also the people's rhythm, the rhythm of perseverance, of the desire to soon complete the project to serve the people.

Mr. Tran Tinh Phuong - Construction Team Leader of Yen Bai Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company - said: "The women voluntarily donated land, so when we entered, there was a site for immediate implementation".
According to the representative of Luong Gia Company Limited, the construction volume is currently about 60%, the unit aims to hand over its work before December 15 so that the entire route can be put into use before the Lunar New Year 2026.
For people, the new route not only shortens travel distance but also opens up hope for economic development.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (residing in Kien Lao village) said: "We did not dare to go fast on this route, because the road was very bad. Now that there is a new road, the people are extremely excited and very supportive because in the future, traveling or transporting goods will be more convenient and safer."

When completed, the Quy Mong - Kien Thanh route will be an important traffic route, creating conditions to attract investment in the thousands of hectares of Bat Do cinnamon and bamboo shoots production area.
According to Mr. Luong Cong Hien - Head of the Economic Department of Quy Mong commune, after being put into use, with a small slope, a wider road will attract investors to implement projects to process cinnamon and Bat Do bamboo shoots. Currently, a number of investors have conducted surveys to implement the project.

Previously, on May 20, 2024, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "An inter-commune road in Yen Bai is deteriorating, people are tired of waiting for repairs", reflecting that the road from Quy Mong commune to Kien Thanh commune has been seriously degraded after a long period of no restoration or repair, endangering people's travel.
According to the reporter's records at that time, the road has many sections of the road with all the asphalt layer, some locations have exposed dangerous slippery soil, a series of potholes and potholes with stagnant water after the rain, vehicles have to struggle to move here.
