On September 20, Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuong - Chairman of Tan Khanh Ward People's Committee and Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh - Vice Chairman of Ward People's Committee directly met, propagated, and mobilized households to receive money and hand over land to implement the Cai stream dredging and reinforcement project.
At the working session, leaders of Tan Khanh ward fully listened to the thoughts, aspirations, difficulties, and obstacles of the people. At the same time, provided specific information and explanations about the project implementation policy, compensation, support and resettlement policies, thereby creating consensus among the people.
According to Tan Khanh Ward People's Committee, the total number of households affected by the project in Tan Khanh ward is 503 cases, the total planned land area to be recovered is 613,465 m2. Up to now, the work of issuing land recovery notices, measuring and counting land and assets attached to land for 503/503 cases has been completed; approving Compensation and Support Plans for 503 households, amounting to 1,509.9 billion VND; paying compensation and support money to 473 households, total amounting to 1,469 billion VND; site handover has reached a rate of 88.8%.
On September 20, the delegation mobilized 3 households, and as a result, all 3 households agreed to hand over the site in October 2026. In the coming time, leaders of Tan Khanh ward will continue to mobilize the remaining households to agree to receive compensation and hand over the site for the project.

The project to dredge and reinforce Cai stream section from Tho Ut bridge to Dong Nai river, invested by the Project Management Board of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, was implemented in 2021. Capital is allocated and arranged by the Central and provincial budgets. The total length of the route is about 18,950m, including section 1 about 6,100m; section 2 about 12,850m. The total allocated capital to 2025 is 3,377.1 billion VND, and so far compensation funds have been disbursed of 3,260.5 billion VND, reaching a rate of 96.54% compared to the total allocated capital.
It is known that the Suoi Cai dredging and reinforcement project, the section from Tho Ut bridge to Dong Nai river, has a total investment of nearly 5,900 billion VND. The project is about 19km long, passing through Binh Duong ward, Tan Hiep ward and Tan Khanh ward. According to records, the section through Binh Duong ward and Tan Hiep ward has sufficient construction site and is about to be completed. The section through Tan Khanh ward is also being accelerated in construction progress.
