The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued Decision No. 556/QD-UBND to complete the Working Group to deploy the establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone (FTZ).
Da Nang City assigns specific tasks to agencies, units and implementation progress for implementation. From now until the end of 2025, it is necessary to focus on immediately implementing a number of tasks as follows:
Develop a dossier to propose new policies in addition to the policies stipulated in Resolution 136 for the Da Nang Free Trade Zone.
Immediately deploy tasks on adjusting planning at all levels, ensuring current regulations; related procedures on land within the boundaries of Da Nang Free Trade Zone (change of land use purposes, list of projects requiring land acquisition) for 5 locations that can be done immediately:
Location 2: Part of Lien Chieu Industrial Park (in Hai Van ward, about 77 hectares).
Location 3: Located in Hai Van ward (500 ha).
Location 5: Located in Ba Na commune (located in the Ba Na Suoi Mo tourist area of about 90 hectares).
Location 6: Located in Ba Na commune (functional area of Son Doi urban subdivision of about 154 hectares).
Location 7: Located in Ba Na commune and Hoa Vang commune (about 401 ha).
At the same time, urgently develop a plan for site clearance in densely populated locations ( Location 1, Location 4) as follows:
Location 1 (100 ha, new Hai Van ward): Orientation for development into a Logistics and Logistics Center to serve Lien Chieu Port.
Location 4 (559 ha, Ba Na new commune): Orientation for development into a Complex Ecosystem, Production and Logistics High-tech Support.
Along with that, it is necessary to develop a policy to support investors in investing in the construction of technical infrastructure works and social infrastructure in the Da Nang Free Trade Zone; policies to support site clearance costs for strategic investors in densely populated locations with large site clearance costs.
Propose capital for medium-term basic construction (central and local) to implement projects and technical infrastructure works serving the Da Nang Free Trade Zone from public investment capital.
Research, survey, propose to expand and adjust the boundary of Da Nang Free Trade Zone to the South (Chu Lai area)...
On June 13, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1142/QD-TTg on the establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone. The Da Nang Free Trade Zone will have 7 locations and select strategic investors, attracting investors to express according to the specific roadmap and implementation plan.
The Da Nang Free Trade Zone has functional areas such as production, logistics; trade - services; digital technology industry, innovation and other types of functional areas as prescribed by law.
