    Hanoi - A high-rise house on Giai Phong Street suddenly caught fire fiercely on the afternoon of July 22. The authorities quickly arrived at the scene to put out the fire.

    Initial information, the fire started on the 5th floor of the house at 569 Giai Phong Street (Tuong Mai Ward, Hanoi).

    Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Tuan Nam (witness at the scene) said the fire broke out at around 2:45 p.m.

    "The fire broke out and then covered the 5th floor of the house, the smoke column rose tens of meters high" - Mr. Nam said and added that a few minutes later the fire spread to the house next door.

    At around 3:00 p.m., more than 5 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers arrived at the scene to put out the fire and rescue.

    As of 3:30 p.m., the fire was basically under control.

    The authorities are verifying the damage as well as investigating the cause of the fire.
