On the afternoon of July 22, information from Do Son ward said that thanks to proactive work in preventing storm No. 3, by noon of the same day, Do Son had not recorded any damage to people and property. All boats anchored at Ngoc Hai fishing port are safe. Fishermen on boats and households living in low-lying areas, areas at risk of landslides, coastal areas have been moved to safe places, arranged accommodation and essential necessities.
However, the tide is rising combined with big waves and strong winds in Do Son area 1. Waves hit the seawall 6-7 m high, overflowing onto the coastal road.
The locality continues to proactively strengthen measures to respond to heavy rain after the storm, prevent landslides and flooding after the storm. The checkpoints and tourist areas are being closed to prevent tourists as well as people from going out to see the storm, take photos, and check-in, which can easily endanger their lives.
