Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has directed agencies, units and localities to continue performing assigned tasks on promoting the development of social housing.
In particular, Khanh Hoa province assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to review legal documents, objectives, and nature of construction projects in the province.
In addition, the Department of Construction will also synthesize and accurately count the number of social housing construction projects; review, supplement, and determine the location and land fund for social housing development in the period of 2026 - 2030 to ensure that the social housing construction targets assigned by the Government are both completed and consistent with construction planning, urban planning, industrial park planning, etc.
According to a report by the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province, in the period of 2021 - 2030, Khanh Hoa province strives to build 7,800 social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers.
Of which, 3,400 units will be built in the 2021 - 2025 period; 4,400 units will be built in the 2026 - 2030 period.
According to the plan, in 2024, the total floor area of housing construction that needs investment is 4,727.10m2 of floor, corresponding to 52,731 apartments.
Of which, commercial housing is 24,926 units; social housing is 9,012 units; self-built housing for households and individuals is expected to be 18,793 units; public housing and resettlement housing are expected to not increase.
According to the plan, the average housing area of the whole province in 2024 is expected to reach about 26.96m2 of floor/person, of which urban areas reach: 27.69m2 of floor/person, rural areas reach 25.89m2 of floor/person.
