Chelsea beat Brentford on Liam Rosenior's debut

Chelsea started promisingly under the new era. Liam Rosenior became the second coach among the team's last eight coaches to win in their Premier League debut.

The 2-0 victory over Brentford at Stamford Bridge helped The Blues end their disappointing streak and narrow the gap with the top 4 to two points.

Before this round, Chelsea went through 6 consecutive matches without a win in the Premier League, putting pressure on the whole team. In fact, they almost paid the price early when Kevin Schade faced the goal in the penalty area, but the decision to pass the ball instead of finishing made Brentford miss a golden opportunity.

The turning point came in the 26th minute. Enzo Fernandez pressed fiercely, creating conditions for Joao Pedro to rush in and finish from close range, opening the score for The Blues.
