Tottenham may sell captain Son Heung-min in the summer transfer window of 2025 to have money to rebuild the squad. Son has been with Spurs for 10 years, making 454 appearances for the club, but he feels his time is coming to an end.
The Telegraph reported that, with one year left on the current contract, Spurs felt it was time to say goodbye to the club's legend. Sonny has attracted interest from Saudi Pro League clubs and this is the last transfer window where he can generate a significant fee.
The 32-year-old has scored 173 goals and provided 101 assists for Tottenham since his move from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015. But while scoring 11 goals and 10 assists in 46 matches, Son has shown clear signs of decline in the 2024-2025 season.

Spurs activated a one-year extension clause in Son's contract in January this year to protect the transfer value. The Korean striker could be targeted by a Saudi Arabian club this summer. Son Heung-min is extremely famous in Asia and will attract attention from the Saudi Pro League.
The "Roosters" ended a 17-year wait for the title by defeating Manchester United in the Europa League final last month. However, they are still planning a major overhaul. Coach Ange Postecoglou is expected to be sacked by President Daniel Levy and it seems that Son could also be the next victim of these changes.
The 32-year-old is currently on international duty with the South Korean team, which will face Iraq and Kuwait in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers next week. But Son is not expected to play in both matches, as South Korea only need one point to qualify.
Son missed Spurs' final match of the season due to a leg injury. He also did not appear in the club's shirt debut for the 2025-2026 season.

If he leaves this summer, Son will still be a legend at Tottenham. He has been a reliable player for 10 years and finally helped Spurs solve their title drought with the Europa League championship.
"Let's say I'm a legend. Why not? Just today!". No one has done that in the past 17 years, so with such great players, today is that day. Maybe today I will say that I am a legend of this club.
I felt great. This is what I have always dreamed of and today is the day it comes true. The dream has come true. I am very, very happy. I am the happiest man in the world" - Son told the British media.
