According to CNN, the Dewa 19 All Stars concert is scheduled to be held on January 18, 2025 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. Then, on March 25, 2025, the stadium will serve the match between the Indonesian team and Bahrain in the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
The organizers and stadium management were concerned that the concert would damage the grass. Therefore, the Dewa 19 All Stars music event had to be postponed and rescheduled to another day.
"In support of the Indonesia national team match at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, the Dewa 19 With All Stars 2.0 concert schedule has been officially postponed. We will return on Saturday, September 6, 2025," the organizers announced on Instagram.
Through the post, the organizers hope that fans will sympathize with the above decision. The group of artists also hopes that their fans will give love and support to the team from the archipelago to win the opportunity to appear at the 2026 World Cup.
"This decision was made to ensure the stadium's quality is at its optimum, serving both national level matches as well as energetic and nostalgic concerts. Please cheer on the national team to the 2026 World Cup," Dewa 19 All Stars added.
At a recent press conference, the concert representative talked about the schedule change. PT.Dewa Nineteen All Stars President Ahmad Dhani said that everyone was concerned that the damaged stadium turf would affect the match of coach Shin Tae-yong and his team.
Therefore, after receiving warnings from fans and a letter from the President of the Indonesian Football Federation - Erick Thohir, the organizers agreed to postpone the show.
Mr. Ahmad Dhani added that if the concert was held as originally scheduled, Dewa 19 and the stadium management board could be criticized and under a lot of public pressure.
“The Indonesian team meeting Bahrain is more important than the Dewa 19 All Stars concert. Therefore, Dewa 19 fans must also prioritize this match. We are having a great time, this is what everyone has been waiting for a long time. Let's look forward to the World Cup," the Dewa 19 representative affirmed.
This story reminds the public of My Dinh National Stadium. The fact that the concert “Anh trai say hi” was held close to the start date of the ASEAN Cup 2024 also affected the tournament schedule.
Accordingly, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has decided to choose Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) to host matches in the group stage.
In the ASEAN Cup semi-finals and finals, due to the quality of the My Dinh Stadium's grass still not being guaranteed after 17 days of the concert, Viet Tri Stadium once again became the home field of the "Golden Star Warriors".
