This will be the second C1/Champions League final between an Italian team and a French team.
Marseille previously beat AC Milan 1-0 in 1993. That was still the only time a French team won this trophy. Notably, the final match of that year was also held in Munich.
In fact, this will be the fifth European Cup/Champions League final held in Munich. The champions in each of those finals are their first title, something PSG are eager for. However, French clubs have won just two of their 15 European Cup finals.
When it comes to experience in major European finals, Inter - the second-placed team in Serie A this season - has a clear advantage.
This is the seventh time Inter have appeared in the C1/Champions League final, winning the title three times during during during the (1964, 1965 and 2010). They lost their most recent final, a 1-0 defeat to Man City in 2023, when Pep Guardiola's side won the treble.
This is only the second time PSG have participated in the European Cup/Champions League final. They are still the last French team to win a major European title - the UEFA Cup championship trophy in the 1995-1966 season.

PSG are the fourth-placed team (167) to have never won the Champions League/Champions Cup since the competition began in 2019, behind Arsenal (211), Dynamo Kyiv (185) and Atletico Madrid (176).
A win in this match will help them become the team with the most matches before winning the first trophy. Currently, Man City is the team with the most matches with 116 matches before winning their 117th match. That was the final against Inter in 2023.
Surprisingly, this is the first time Inter and PSG have met in an official match. This final will also mark the first time Luis Enrique and Simone Inzaghi have met.
Both coaches have played 32 Champions League games in their coaching careers. Of which, Enrique won 20 matches, while Inzaghi had 17 wins.
Inter are unbeaten in their last four European meetings with French sides (W2 D2), since a 1-0 defeat to Marseille in the 2011-12 Champions League round of 16.
The match between PSG and Inter Milan takes place at 2:00 am on June 1 (Vietnam time).
