Man United just suffered a defeat against the ASEAN All Stars team led by coach Kim Sang-sik. This was a disappointing result for the Red Devils when the ASEAN All Stars squad included players from different countries in Southeast Asia.
As for Hong Kong (China), gathering players who have played regularly and have high cohesion will create another challenge for Man United. Hong Kong (China) is ranked 153rd in the world. They are in quite stable form, having won 7 out of their last 8 matches in all competitions.
This is considered a useful experiment before coach Ashley Westwood's team competes in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers in June.
It is likely that coach Ruben Amorim will continue to rotate the squad. Their star class is still rated higher than their opponents. After the match against Hong Kong (China), the team will enter the summer vacation before moving on to the preparation stage for the new season in July.
