Manchester United could lose millions of Euros this summer as they seek to remove some of their unwanted stars from their squad. People like Marcus Rashford and Antony are looking to leave Old Trafford, but the Red Devils could have to pay to sell them.
Along with Rashford and Antony, Jadon Sancho was also loaned out last season, but the trio have now returned to Manchester. Everyone is no longer themselves under Ruben Amorim and there seems to be no future at Old Trafford.
Alejandro Garnacho was also left out of the starting lineup for last season's Europa League final. Recently, the young Argentine star also made the Man United board angry when wearing an Aston Villa shirt named Rashford.
Teams that buy potential or are interested in borrowing know that Man United wants to remove these players from their squads and are ready to take advantage of that situation, the Telegraph reported.

Garnacho, Rashford and Antony have contracts until 2028, with Man United now expected to provide salary subsidies even if they leave the club. Jadon Sancho has also been allowed to leave after playing on loan in the last two seasons.
Rashford was left out of the squad for a while before being loaned to Aston Villa last season. The English striker has somewhat regained his form at Villa Park and expressed his desire to move to Barcelona. However, Blaugrana's priority is to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao.
Antony has also regained his form impressively since moving to Real Betis on loan. The Brazilian played a big part in helping Betis reach the Europa Conference League final last season. He has won many individual and team titles in Spain and is eager to buy Antony. In the loan deal last season, Betis paid 84% of Antony's salary, the rest was for Man United.
However, the biggest obstacle is the transfer fee. Man United valued Antony at 40 million Euros, a figure that Betis would find difficult to meet. The fact that Antony still has 3 years left on his contract with the Red Devils also complicates this deal.

Meanwhile, Garnacho will also have to find a new destination this summer. The conflict between him and Amorim seems irreparable. Chelsea have previously been linked with the Argentine, alongside Napoli.
Over the past decade, the Red Devils' owners have continuously signed high-paid players. This has left them in a difficult position when they wanted to eliminate those players.
Amorim's first summer transfer window will determine much of Man United's ability to improve. With a particularly difficult start to the 2025-2026 season, the Portuguese captain certainly wants to complete the procurement as soon as possible.
However, apart from the Matheus Cunha deal that has been completed and could soon be Bryan Mbeumo, all other deals depend on the sale of players.
