Man United is speeding up the process of streamlining personnel and cutting costs to improve finances before entering the next fiscal year. The three senior personnel who have just chosen to leave include: head of human resources Annie Hale, sales director Florence Lafaye and commercial development director James Holroyd.
According to The Athletic, all three directors chose to leave on their own, without having to chase after INEOS or Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Initially, when INEOS took over Man United from Glazer, it was only responsible for taking care of sports. After that, they took over the personnel reform and the club's financial management. Before the three directors had just quit, there were a series of other personnel who had left since the time of coach Erik ten Hag.
Among them, Dan Ashworth's incident left the most scandals. Ashworth was invited by INEOS to come back from Newcastle but after only 5 months of working, this football director left in the most surprising way, leaving behind behind-the-scenes speculation about INEOS's incomplete operations.
INEOS has begun to build its own executive team after taking over at Man United, with Omar Berrada hired from Manchester City as CEO, Marc Armstrong has recently started as a sales manager after being lured by Paris Saint-Germain.

Many of INEOS's long-time personnel have followed Sir Jim such as Sir Dave Brailsford to take on the responsibilities at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, INEOS CEO Roger Bell is currently the CFO at Man United. Gary hemingway, a project expert at INEOS, is currently working on football data analysis and infrastructure projects.
Some of the remaining people, such as Jason Wilcox, were hired as technical directors. Christopher Vivell, a former Chelsea and Red Bull Group player, is working on personnel recruitment.
INEOS's viewpoint is very clear, they want the current Man United personnel, whether old or new, to possess many skills to be versatile. Looking at Man City's model, we can see that Man United's personnel are too many but ineffective. In the context of Man City only needing 450 personnel to operate the team well, Man United has more than 1,000 people but still has nowhere to go, so they are forced to cut sharply.
It is expected that Man United's cut-off will last until the end of 2026. After a period of stability, INEOS has just begun recruiting again in large numbers. As for the team captained by Ruben Amorim, from now until then, it will be difficult for any superstar in the form of blockbuster to arrive.
