On March 17, a representative of Gia Dinh People's Hospital (HCMC) informed that despite doctors' efforts to treat him, patient H.T.T.T (28 years old, living in Dong Nai) died the same morning.
Ms. T is a student at a college in Dong Nai and was one of the victims hit by a female Mercedes driver on the afternoon of March 16.
Currently, officers from the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency have arrived at Gia Dinh People's Hospital to request an autopsy, complete the procedures according to regulations and then hand over the victim's body to the family for funeral arrangements.

Regarding the incident, the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police is temporarily detaining the female Mercedes driver to investigate the violation of regulations on road traffic participation.
Previously, the authorities determined that the female Mercedes driver who caused the accident was driving on the wrong side of the road when she had an alcohol concentration in her, leading to a series of collisions with 10 motorbikes.
At around 5:00 p.m. the same day, Ms. N.T.T.N (41 years old, living in Thu Duc City) was driving a Mercedes on the parallel road of Hanoi Highway towards Dong Nai Bridge. When arriving at Thu Duc intersection, the car suddenly crashed into a series of motorbikes waiting at a red light.

According to the investigation, Ms. N drove a car into a lane for motorbikes, which is a lane where cars are prohibited from moving. After that, Ms. N caused an accident.
The strong impact caused many people and motorbikes to be thrown onto the road. One victim was thrown onto the hood, pushed a distance of 30m and rolled onto the road.
