In the race for a ticket to the Champions League next season, Manchester City won against Fulham without much difficulty.
Pep Guardiola's side only need a point at Craven Cottage to secure a top-five finish. And an easy 2-0 victory was enough for them to qualify for the Champions League.
This is not something the Citizens often celebrate on the last day of the season, but Guardiola and his students still smile at the end of the season.
This is only the second time in 16 years as a coach that Guardiola has finished outside the top two of the domestic league. There was a point in the season - especially after a 13-match winless streak in every tournament in November and December - when Man City were close to collapsing completely. However, the former Premier League champion has promptly saved his ticket to the Champions League next season.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United have all missed out on the Champions League in the past 10 years. Meanwhile, Man City were disqualified for the 2010-11 season. Even after their worst campaign in a decade, they will still be in this prestigious tournament next season.

No time to rest. While other clubs are looking forward to a summer break, Man City will prepare for their appearance at the FIFA Club World Cup in the US.
First is the international break, then Man City's flight to Miami on June 12 before the tournament starts. This is their last chance to win the trophy this season along with an attractive bonus if they win.
After the tournament in the US, a difficult job began with the task of regaining the Premier League title from Liverpool.
Kevin De Bruyne - who came off the bench for 6 minutes in his final Man City game - needs to be replaced. There were also doubts about Jack Grealish's future after he was left out of the squad for the trip to London.
"Of course Jack Grealish wants to play. He is a player who needs to play every 3 days. But that hasn't happened this season, or last season.
Jack Grealish needs to play, whether for us, or in another shirt. The final choice lies with Grealish, the agent and the team. If he stays, that's fine, he needs to continue fighting, regain the position he had when he first joined the team.
No one can say that I am not happy with Grealish. Because all my decisions do not come from personal motives. I was the one who tried every way to bring Grealish back, also determined to keep him. What happens in the future will be taken care of by Txiki Begiristain, Hugo Viana and Grealish's agent" - Guardiola said after the win over Fulham.

Another possibility is goalkeeper Ederson. The 31-year-old had received an offer to travel to Saudi Arabia a year ago and could leave this summer. Of course, it will be difficult for Man City to find a worthy goalkeeper to replace Ederson.
The Brazilian plays a key role in Guardiola's system with his impressive ball-holding and accurate passing ability. Ederson also showed an impressive reflex, as evidenced by the two great saves in the first half of the win over Fulham.
Without Ederson's brilliance, Man City would have had a much more tense match. The Brazilian goalkeeper ended the match with another impressive save in extra time. Most likely, these will be Ederson's last moments with The Citizens.
Porto's Diogo Costa is one of the names on the squad to replace Ederson this summer. Whoever is chosen will face the huge shadow that Ederson left behind in the event he left the Etihad.
"People can say that they only need to win a ticket to the Europa League. But we didn't. We continue to fight, continue to play well and finally do what we want. Winning a ticket to the Champions League, for me, is like a title. That is the truth.
We ended the season in third place, not too far from Arsenal but clearly the gap with Liverpool is what we have to think about. The whole team needs to improve more. But today, although many people don't think so, it is truly a happy day for Man City" - Guardiola added.
