Forces of both teams
Martin Odegaard and Ben White were absent from the trip to Athletic Bilbao in midweek and it is still unclear whether they will be able to recover from their injuries to play on Sunday.
Bukayo Saka is also recovering from hamstring injuries, while Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus' knee injuries have ruled them out against Man City
Good news for Arsenal is the return of William Saliba to the squad in midweek. Most likely, coach Arteta will let Saliba return, playing alongside Gabriel in the match against Man City.
On Man City's side, two new players brought in by them in the summer, Ait-Nouri and Rayan Cherki, will not play due to injury.
Omar Marmoush suffered a knee injury while playing for the Egyptian national team and will be out for a few more weeks, while Mateo Kovacic is still recovering from Achilles tendon surgery.
Rodri was absent for most of last season, and could be rested after starting both games this week, but John Stones is ready to return after he was forced to withdraw from the England team due to a muscle problem.

Notable figures
Arsenal have won their last three home Premier League games with a total score of 9-0. The last time the Gunners won four consecutive home games without conceding was in December 2021.
Man City have lost five of their last seven Premier League games right after midweek's European Cup games, including a 1-5 defeat to Arsenal in February 2025.
For Arsenal, they have not lost any of their last 18 Premier League games, after playing away from home in the European Cup in midweek (13 wins, 5 draws) since a 1-0 defeat to Man City in February 2021.
Arsenal have also not lost a Premier League home game in September since 2012. The team has been unbeaten in 20 home games in September since that milestone, with 16 wins and 4 draws.
Arsenal are one of only two teams yet to concede from free-kicks in the Premier League this season, along with Fulham. Arsenal have also gone six consecutive games without conceding a goal from open play, since Luis Diaz's goal for Liverpool in the 36th minute last season.
Erling Haaland has scored four goals in six Premier League appearances against Arsenal.
Viktor Gyokeres has scored in both Premier League home games for Arsenal, against Leeds United and Nottingham. The only player to score in all three of Arsenal's first Premier League home games was Alexandre Lacazette in 2017.
Gyokeres has been the player to press the back third (166 times) in the Premier League this season. Meanwhile, Haaland was the one who put the most pressure in the opponent's penalty area (65).
