According to the latest announcement from the World Football Federation (FIFA), Vietnam has a total of 24 referees and assistant referees recognized as qualified to perform international duties.
This list includes 5 male referees, 7 male assistant referees, 3 female referees, 3 female assistant referees, 4 male and female futsal referees.
Notably, in the list, there is the appearance of young referee Do Khanh Nam. He has just completed the 4th course of the AFC referee Academy training course. In recent times, this referee has shown clear progress in both expertise and management skills, often assigned tasks in matches in the V.League system and received positive reviews from experts.
In addition, assistant referee Le Tran Nghia is also on the list recognized by FIFA for the first time. With many years of experience working in the V.League, he is highly appreciated for his ability to coordinate smoothly with the referee team, stable physical foundation and strict compliance with professional standards.
Another milestone is that Vietnam has for the first time owned two FIFA-recognized male VAR referees, including Mr. Ngo Duy Lan and Nguyen Trung Hau. This is a clear demonstration of the maturity of the domestic VAR referee team, especially when VAR technology is increasingly playing an important role in tournaments.
